Trouble in Paradise: Prince Charming & Cinderella Drop Royal Titles

Gold jeweled crown sitting on a red pillow

You’ve all probably heard about how Prince Charming and Ella are dropping their royal titles. Well, I’ve got the inside scoop on how this pair met, leading up to the break with the royal family.

In January of last year, Prince Charming hosted a fund-raising Gala for (insert random charity here). Of course, this witch crashed the party to shoot photographs and dig up gossip for the WWD blog. Ella showed up in a white and gold stretch limo, dressed in a pale blue ball gown reminiscent of a second-time bride. Despite her unfortunate taste in dresses, Ella has a natural beauty and a charm that is undeniable. The Prince was making his rounds at the Gala when Ella walked in. She smiled and extended her hand to the Prince as she gave a little curtsy. I thought the fiddle-dee-dee Southern-Belle act positively reeked of pretentiousness, but the Prince seemed smitten.

They spent the rest of the evening talking, laughing, and dancing. I think he would have proposed that very night, because I saw him get down on one knee. I snuck closer, to get the perfect shot of the proposal, when Ella ran away like a little biatch. I think I was as shocked as the Prince himself, but I gathered my composure soon enough to shoot a photo of the Prince’s sad little puppy dog face.

Due to some digging, I was able to get the details of what followed. The pair didn’t exchange digits before Ella’s departure, and the Prince was asking all the Gala attendees if they knew who she was, or how to reach her. He finally remembered the gaudy white and gold limo she had sped away in, and called the limo company to find out who had booked the car for that evening. They put him in touch with Ella’s Godmother, who was more than happy to play matchmaker. The royals tried to discourage the relationship from the start, but the Prince gave no Fucks. And they lived happily ever after. The end.

Just kidding! I know you come here for the dirt, and I’m here to dish it. They got married later that spring, much to the dismay of both families. Ella really did try to play their game, but the royals were hateful. The tabloids didn’t help, either. At first, Ella and the Prince were fulfilling their royal duties, la dee da. Every time Ella made a public appearance, she would get trolled for anything and everything. Princess Ella broke royal tradition by doing x, y, and z. Ella’s family was no better. They tried to sabotage the relationship from the start.

In the end, Ella chose to distance herself from her toxic family, and the Prince decided to opt-out of his royal duties and obligations. In a recent official letter to a charity they supported, Ella and the Prince signed the letter with simply their first names, sans titles. This was not a casual correspondence, but an OFFICIAL LETTER.

What do you witches think? Is Ella worth giving up a royal claim? Is the Prince worth all the trouble his family causes? Perhaps the better question is: why did Ella need a Prince to save her in the first place?
